Dreams Come True with Funhouse OC Productions

Funhouse OC Productions was founded by lifelong friends Thomas Jovan Almeida and Kristopher "Steve" McClain, who grew up immersed in the dynamic punk rock and surf culture of Orange County. Their mission is clear: to craft high-quality, music-driven film and TV projects that bring deeply personal and impactful stories to life. As co-founder Thomas Almeida puts it, “Our goal is to capture moments in time—woven with music, surf culture, and tales of forbidden love.”

The company is currently developing several ambitious projects. One highlight is an 8-part documentary series titled My Punk Life, which offers an in-depth exploration of the explosive and influential world of punk music. Through interviews with fans and musicians, the series dives into pivotal moments of discovery—those first encounters with punk’s raw energy and unmistakable aesthetic—while examining how this subculture grew into a global phenomenon.

Currently in development is Cruel, Cruel Summer, a music-driven feature film that reimagines Romeo & Juliet amidst the vibrant backdrop of 1980s Orange County. Blending the quirky charm of Valley Girl with a poignant exploration of the era's stark class divides, this contemporary love story weaves together themes of privilege and struggle. Featuring a nostalgic soundtrack brimming with local bands and iconic KROQ hits, the film aspires to capture the musical allure of American Graffiti, reimagined for a new generation.

Funhouse OC Productions is also celebrating the release of their debut feature, Riot on Redchurch Street: The Director’s Cut. Starring Sam Hazeldine (The Rings of Power) and featuring original music by Siobhan Fahey (Bananarama/Shakespears Sister), the film is available now to Pre-Order on Apple TV.

Set in the vibrant streets of Shoreditch, Riot on Redchurch Street: The Director’s Cut tells the gripping tale of a twisted love triangle between a British rock-and-roll manager and his two clients. The film builds to a breathtaking climax on stage, blending music, tension, and raw emotion in an unforgettable cinematic experience. With standout performances and appearances from icons like Siobhan Fahey alongside local favorites like Sandbox, this film offers a vivid portrayal of chaos, passion, and the electrifying energy of live performance.

A must-see for fans of music and drama alike, Riot on Redchurch Street: The Director’s Cut promises gripping storytelling and unforgettable performances. Pre-order now on Apple TV to be among the first to experience this one-of-a-kind film!
